Andy Perry has been a master cannabis grower in Carpinteria, California for many years. His last greenhouse grow is where he developed the idea of the air-scrubbing system. Andy was applying for permitting in Santa Barbara county for his greenhouses and was told that a “spray odor control system” would be required if he wanted to grow cannabis in the area of the greenhouses. The price of the “accepted” system was cost prohibitive and Andy, always the creative innovater, started research on the scrubbing systems available. He took a carbon filter design to a manufacturer and asked what it would cost to build it. The manufacturer, John Tittlefitz, looked at it and suggested that they look at an air scrubbing system that they built for medical waste and medical “clean rooms”. John contacted the scientist that held the patent on the unique design of the medical photocatalytic system and asked if it could be expanded to large greenhouses and drying rooms. The resultant experimental design of an air scrubbing system was built and tested at the manufacturer and the results were amazing. The system was further tested by installing it in the live greenhouses. The governing body of Santa Barbara county issued a use permit for the system after on-site testing demonstrated outstanding results. It is only one of two systems that were acceptable. The OmniFlow “Aria” system is the only device that does not require monthly high cost chemicals for a spray system, and does not have any parts that need to be replaced making it far superior to carbon filter systems.
